1st IIT Law School National Moot Court Competition. [14 - 16 November, 2014]




The Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur is organizing the 1st IIT Law School National Moot Court Competition from 14 - 16 November, 2014. The moot proposition is based on a confluence of Competition Law, Biodiversity Law, Patent Law and Constitutional law aspects.

All students currently enrolled in three year or five year LL.B. or LL.M. degree in any Law School/College/University in India, are eligible to participate in the Competition. Each team shall be composed of three (3) members, with two speakers and one researcher. A two (2) member team, in which both the members are speakers, is also eligible for participation.

A total of 24 teams shall be eligible for registration based on first come first served basis (based on the receipt of the scanned copies of the DD, the duly filled Registration Form and the proof of postage to IIT). Only one team per institution is allowed to register in the competition upon payment of a registration fee of Rs. 1,000/-.

Registration:

Each team must register through electronic means by sending a scanned copy of the duly filled registration form provided with the invite for the competition (at the end of the rules manual), the Demand Draft for the registration fee of Rs.1,000/- and proof of postage of the same (in the form of receipts of Courier, Speed Post, etc.), to nmcc2014@rgsoipl.iitkgp.ernet.in latest by 27th October, 2014.
The DD should be made in favour of DEAN, CE, IIT KHARAGPUR and should be payable at KHARAGPUR, WEST BENGAL. 

Also, the hard copy of Registration form duly filled and signed, and accompanied by the registration fee of Rs. 1,000/- in the form of a Demand Draft, must be sent to the address mentioned in the registration form and must reach no later than 3rd November, 2014

Important dates:
  • Soft copies (scanned) of the Registration Form, the Demand Draft and the Proof of Postage to reach the organizers via Email: 27th October 2014 (11:59 PM).
  • Confirmation of Team Registration by Organizers: 28th October 2014.
  • Hard Copies of the Registration Form along with the DD to reach the organizers via post: 3rd November 2014
  • Last date for requesting Clarifications about the moot problem (can be made on nmcc2014@rgsoipl.iitkgp.ernet.in) is 27th October 2014 and the Clarifications will be released on 28th October 2014.
  • Last date for submission of soft copy of Memorials: 11th November 2014 (11:59 PM).
  • Dates of Competition: 14th, 15th and 16th November, 2014

Call for Papers: Women in the 21st Centure: Working Towards Empowerment [Submit By: 5th December, 2014]

  • Registration fees include Conference Kit, Certificate, Breakfast, Lunch and Evening Tea.
Interested academicians, scientists, research scholars and students are invited to submit original and unpublished abstract papers for oral/poster presentation on any themes mentioned above. The abstract of the paper typed in Times New Roman, 12 Font, double spaced and not more than 500 words shall reach the Organising Secretary on or before 5th December 2014 by post. Soft copy of your abstract can also be emailed to conf.empowerment2015@gmail.com. The abstract review committee will select the abstract for oral/poster presentation. The selected participants will be intimated via mail within a week and the full paper should be submitted by 15th December 2014.

Call for Papers: Pragamana International Journal on Rural Development and Allied Issues (Issue2) [Submit By: 15th November, 2014]

Pragamana, as the name suggests, is a new beginning towards the issues of Rural Development. The aim of this initiative is to disseminate information of that part of the world which resides in beautiful villages.The Journal will cover issues of rural development across the world. This is a double peer reviewed journal bearing ISSN 2393-896X available in print.

Theme: ‘Competition Law: Current Issues’
The Editorial Board of the RGNUL Student Law Review (RSLR) invites blog posts from the legal community on the theme ‘Competition Law: Current Issues’ as an initiative supporting the Current Issue of the Law Review.
The details for submissions are as follows:
• All submissions must be in Garamond, font size 12, Spacing 1.5.
• All endnotes should be in Garamond 10 single-spaced.
• Margins: Left 1.5 Inch and Right 1 Inch, Top 1 Inch and Bottom 1 Inch.
• Word Limit for each blog post is a maximum of 1000 Words.(Exclusive of Endnotes)
• Please ensure inclusion of endnotes instead of footnotes. A Uniform style of Citation is necessary for acceptance.
• The manuscript should be accompanied with a covering letter specifying the author’s name, designation, institute, contact number and e-mail for future reference.
• All entries should be submitted in .doc or .docx format.
• The Manuscripts must be e-mailed to submissionsrslr@rgnul.ac.in
